I fall and fall down an abyss of despair
Have I gone too deep on the wrong end?
Is there no light shining through?
Have I left parts of me at the bottom of the world?
I look around in darkness,
Groping around searching for the lost pieces
For I know I am missing quite a few
Because I feel lighter than a feather.
I cannot leave this abyss without those pieces
Because if I do I may never find them again.
But I can’t stay here for too long
Because if I do I may lose more of me
So today I choose to leave the abyss
To come back another day, for I cannot
Afford to lose more of myself
I promise to venture down another day.
